Always The Right Time

Posted by Diane P. on Friday, September 12th, 2008

“It is always the right time for children who are being born and formed in mind, body and spirit every minute as life goes on.” Those words, written by Marian Wright Edelman in 1996, stand out to me every day here at Children’s Village. Posted by Ali M. on Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

Such a lengthy word for such a simple philosophy.
To quote another - “Love is the force that makes us fully human.”  So, to be fully human we must love… and, to love humankind fully [...]

“Are you Scared?”

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

Every day i am asked “Are you scared?”
“You know. the economy” Are you scared no one will give?” they say.
I don’t tell them the truth. That I am always scared, that I have been scared every day. That people give each and every day is my amazement. it is my surprise every day. Every gift gives me wonderment, [...]

On Monday, Oct. 6, Costco presented a $65,000 check to The Memorial Foundation from the sale of Newman’s Own Grape Juice sold at the Yakima location. The timing of this donation is a tribute to Paul Newman’s legacy of giving and is helping our community provide necessary funding for children’s health care program and [...]
