Celebrating #Giving Tuesday

I love this time of year. I love to take in every moment and experience all I can.  This Thanksgiving I was so thankful for the time I was able to spend with my adult children, and in awe of the fact that I have adult children! We shared time together on Black Friday with our annual 6am shopping for the best deals on socks, DVD’s and games. We enjoyed finding just the right gift shopping on Small Business Saturday. Today, on Cyber Monday, I have a list of items to look for this evening when I get home from work.

The best part of this time of year is the beginning of the holiday season and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate how grateful I am for my family than to participate in #GivingTuesday and support my favorite cause: Children’s Village. I love to support Children’s Village for it is a way for me to help keep special healthcare here in Yakima for families needing special medical help to care for their children. I hate driving over the pass to Seattle and I can’t imagine how I would do that with a child needing to see a medical specialist that we don’t have available here in Yakima! By supporting Children’s Village I hope I can be a small part of helping keep the medical specialists we are so fortunate to have here in our community.

There are many opportunities to support healthcare in Yakima – Children’s Village is only one. Cancer Care, Compass Care, and Healthy Yakima are also wonderful causes that have a tremendous impact on those living in our community. Perhaps your life has been touched in some way by one of them.

Please join me in participating in #GivingTuesday and help support the cause that is special to you, just go click here to see examples of how your contribution can help and make a donation!
