Children’s Village Dreams Big with Assisted Technology

Children’s Village hosted an Ipad seminar for families to learn how to support their child’s learning and communication with assisted technology.
Over 20 parents attended, sharing a wealth of information on specific applications that work well for their child as well as opportunities to use the Ipad in their home and in their child’s classroom or school.

The evening was moderated by Cindy Carroll, a Children’s Village speech therapist and autism coach.

“It was a thrilling time with families because there was so much information sharing taking place,” Carroll said. “There were a few families on the fence about purchasing an Ipad and they left feeling confidant it would be an excellent tool for their child.”

The group developed an initial list of Ipad applications they’ve found helpful and beneficial to their children. Check them out and give us your feedback on Apps you use at home or in the classroom. We want to know!
