Children’s Village Got Talent!

Children’s Village hosted their second annual “Talent and Hobby Show” in May.

Children and teens participating in Parent to Parent’s one2one program were invited to bring hobbies, collections or a special talent to showcase or share with their friends and families.

The response was fantastic!

Eight participants brought their collections to share including; Legos, wrestling figurines, giraffes, transformers and “Cars” from the motion picture. Three others shared their talent; karate skills, joke telling and balloon tying. The night ended with a special choreographed finale dance to “Moves Like Jagger.”  The crowd of family, friends, Children’s Village staff and YVCC students (studying special education and inclusion) erupted in applause!

The night was a hit in part to the 15 one2one program mentors who volunteered to support and encourage the kids. Also, Isamar Gutierrez, a Toppenish High School Senior, worked closely with staff to fulfill her senior project.

The talent show was amazing! Our son Jack loved every minute of telling jokes and dancing. Thank you for such a fun night where Jack was able to ” show off his talents”. So proud to be apart of the CV family.
