The therapy pool at Children’s Village is getting a make over!

Re-plastering of the pool began last night! Ruben Ochoa from Ruben’s Pool Plastering and his crew are re-plastering and updating the pool and getting it ready to serve children again. We hope to have the pool up and running the week of December 16th.

When Children’s Village was first built, the pool was a designated gift by one family who envisioned the impact this pool would have for children and families. Over the years, many disciplines use the pool, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and behavior therapy. The pool is a therapeutic environment – with decreased body weight, increased buoyancy, warm water and an echoing room, which becomes a magical place that encourages change and progress for children with special health care needs.
